Safety is especially important in Oil & Gas supply chains. Express Global Logistics (EXG) can assist you in every step of the process, thanks to our tailored services: from the safe and efficient transportation of oil & gas products, to international project coordination, anywhere in the world.
We kick-started 2019 by executing two projects with leading companies in the Oil & Gas sector and a special domestic movement for an Indian company.
Handled an Air Charter Shipment from Mumbai to Jakarta
Express Global Logistics (EXG) successfully executed an Air Charter Shipment from Mumbai to Jakarta for a leading Oil and Gas company.
The high value cargo consisted of 17 packages weighing 27 MT. Transporting the cargo required complex handling, special permissions for equipment at the airport, and overnight security till the cargo was ready to be moved.
The EXG team was vigilant and alert during the execution of this shipment. We hand held the receipt of the cargo, completed custom clearance and loaded the aircraft in a single day. Our team has considerable experience managing high value cargo and with air chartering across the globe.
Export of Break Bulk Cargo from India to France
EXG planned and executed a break bulk shipment of Double Walled Steel Pipes from Gujarat to France. The shipment consisted of 425 polyethylene coated steel pipes. The pipes had a 25 inch diameter, length of 12m weighing 1.80 MT each. It also had 425 Bare Steel pipes having an 18 inch diameter, length of 12m weighing 1.30 MT. The total weight of the cargo was 1320 MT and volume of 3121 CBM.
Our scope of work included inland haulage of 850 pipes from Dahej up to the wharf at Kandla Port, arrangement of CHA services followed by storage and handling at the port. EXG also categorized each pipe using unique codes for easier management of the cargo. The categorization was done without impairing the cargo, in a way that it was visible post fabrication. This helped validate with the customs authorities that the goods were brought in for re-export. Finally EXG managed Ocean Freight from Kandla, Gujarat to France.
The Express Global Logistics (EXG) team displayed punctilious planning and timely coordination with all the parties leading to the successful execution of the above project keeping the consignments safe and damage-free.
Interstate Breakbulk Movement of a Vaporizer
EXG successfully executed a critical movement of cargo weighing 78 MT for our customer. It was moved from Gujarat to Mumbai Port. The shipment contained 1 heavy lift and 10 packages of accessories. The Heavy Lift Vaporiser measured 23.00 x 4.22 x 4.20 (m).
Due to the peculiar nature of the cargo our engineering team leveraged additional lashing points for the safety of the cargo during road transportation. A last minute increase in the height of the cargo added complexity to the project. The revised height was close to the maximum height feasible to pass through Mumbai city and reach the Mumbai port on committed time frame.
On a pre-selected route, a special team accompanied the cargo. The roads had to be analyzed to ensure smooth passage by dismantling, moving or lifting power lines, hoardings and road signs. We managed to deliver the critical cargo in the shortest possible time and ensured there was no vessel detention.
